For the people who love growth

The Tiger and The Lamb

The Tyger and The Lamb are poems by William Blake contrasting the nature of the tiger and the nature of the lamb.

In this exercise, I want you to examine your inner tiger and your inner lamb to better understand yourself.

What parts of you are the tiger?

What parts of you are the lamb?

We all have both inside of us.

What makes you feel big?

What makes you feel small?

What actions do you do that make you feel big?

What actions do you do that make you feel small?

Describe imagery that you feel suits your personality. (Do you connect with the moon, the sun, the ocean, the trees, a certain aesthetic?) What about that imagery calls to you? Does this imagery reflect your values? (Do you love fairies because you love nature? Do you love Goth subculture because you want to embrace darkness?)

What are the traits in others that you admire?

What actions do they do that give them those traits?

What actions can you do yourself in your own life to acquire their traits?
